1950 Vincent Black Shadow
1950 Vincent Black Shadow
Vincent built the Black Shadow Series C from 1948 until 1954 when they produced Series D models. The Series C Black Shadow had a 998cc V-Twin engine and produced 55hp. The overall weight of the bike was only 458lbs so performance was impressive to say the least. In fact, Rollie Free set a speed record at the Bonneville Salt Flats in 1948 on a Black Shadow eclipsing 150mph for the first on a production motorcycle. Our Black has gone through an extensive re-build and has a time-lapse video showing the re-assembly. Extremely rare and valuable, no motorcycle collection is complete without a Shadow!
