1951 Vincent Rapide
Rare. Rare. Rare. This documented factory red Rapide was an extremely unusual color back in the day. The Rapide is credited with a host of innovations still used on bikes today. Some of which include a cantilever rear suspension, foot operated gear lever instead of hand shifting and a side stand. The Rapide was the forerunner to more famous Black Shadow. Built more as a touring bike, customer wanted something a little more sporty. Out of the Rapide came the the more powerful and lighter Black Shadow. The Rapide was built from 1936 until the company closed in 1955.
