1981 Maico 490
1981 Maico 490
Here is Harry’s philosophy; If you’re going to ride, ride the best! And he did. Back in the day Harry did ride a Maico 490. Because of it’s power and handling many believed it to be the best of it’s era. The ability to corner in the radius of a much smaller bike coupled with smooth torque that didn’t deliver any sudden explosion to put you on your head made it the baddest machine in motocross. The 488cc engine put out a tick over 47 hp and 44.4 lb-ft of torque. Overall weight was 243 lbs. Our bike has had a complete restoration.
