2010 Confederate P120 Fighter
Chassis number 5 of projected 50.
The P120 Fighter is probably the coolest mechanical device ever built. It’s a clash of generations. What Fred Flintstone and Johnny Quest would have designed together. Both old school and futuristic at the same time. Raw and unfinished but unmistakably well engineered and refined.
It appears as if it has been carved from a solid block of aluminum. CNC tooling marks visible everywhere. The Fighter uses the same Jim’s engine as the Wraith with a few internal upgrades to boost horsepower to 160. Although the Fighter gains about 70lbs. over the Wraith the power to weight ratio is an amazing 2.875lbs. per horsepower. Nearly half that of a ZR1 Corvette.
From the “drain pipe” looking backbone to dry sump oil tank sight glass to the carbon fiber wheels anywhere you look you will be in sensory overload. In fact, we hadn’t planned on buying this particular model. That is until we saw one. We had the Wraith delivered and there were two Fighters on the truck. One already sold and other available. We unloaded number 5 and after a few phone calls it never made its way back onto the truck.
