The late model Corvettes are among the best performance cars in the world. A recent addition to the collection is this 2011 Z06. It has the carbon fiber package and Z07 performance package making it basically identical to the new ZR1 with the exception of the motor. It has the naturally aspirated LS-7, 7.oL V-8 putting out 505 H.P. At 140lbs lighter than the ZR1 it gives the ZR1 all it can handle at the track. On short tracks it has even beat the ZR1 lap times. A longer track would erase some of the weight advantage. This could be the best performance value out there.
