A recent addition to the Mathews Collection is a 2011 Jaguar XKR Convertible. The rear drive convertible is propelled by a 5.0 litre supercharged V-8 producing 510 h.p. and 461 lb.ft. of torque. All that power and torque runs through a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters on the steering wheel if you feel the need to play a little. At less than 4,200 lbs. this generation XKR is nearly 20% lighter than the previous rendition allowing 0-60 times in an impressive 4.6 seconds.

Overall, the car is sophisticated, comfortable, aggressive and visceral all in one beautifully wrapped package. Driving it is a real joy, especially when given the opportunity to include a few highway on-ramps. Merging is a non-issue. Simply point and shoot.
