1972 BSA Rocket 3
1972 BSA Rocket 3
The BSA Rocket 3 was a twin to Triumph’s Trident. Basically rebadged, it had a 740cc in-line 3 cylinder engine achieving 58 hp @ 7,500rpm’s. Weighing it at just under 500lbs, it performed well. Even though it competed against the more advanced Japanese bikes, it managed to set several Daytona speed records that held until 1971 when the Kawasaki Z1 beat them. It had a top speed of 115mph and was built between 1968-1975.
