2011 Corvette ZR1 Coupe
This is our second C6 ZR1 and little has changed from the first. It is amazing how GM can build a car that is so user friendly on the streets yet performs at such a high level on the track. The sound when the exhaust flappers open up is worth the price of admission alone. I know the V-10’s and V-12’s with their smaller pistons and high revs sound good as well, however, there is something about a V-8 especially with a hint of supercharger whine that is just magical.
The hardest part of driving this car fast on the track is not getting used to the incredible power and torque but rather getting used to the astonishing brakes. It’s fun giving rides to someone who’s “not a fan of Corvettes”. They tend to find difficulty justifying those comments after the ride.
