2015 R1200 GS

Quite possibly the best all around motorcycle ever built. The R 1200 GS is the bike of choice for serious adventure riders. Good on the highway and even better off-road. Powered by an air/liquid cooled 1170cc opposed twin delivering 125 hp and torque throughout the rev range it is ready for any terrain. Adding the optional “riding modes” gives you a set of 4 different configurations at the push of a button to adjust to any riding condition or surface. In 2005, Harry at the age of 68 rode his then new ’05 R 1200 GS to Alaska averaging over 300 miles a day for 16 days. Much of which was on unpaved roads.
